Avignon, Luberon, Mont-Ventoux… Autant de destinations pour apprécier et vivre au rythme de la Provence. Terre de culture mais aussi vaste terrain de jeux pour les adeptes des activités de plein air, le Vaucluse offre des facettes variées pour des moments de partage en famille.
The village of Roussillon and its ochers with thousand shades : In Roussillon, the ocher is everywhere ! shades of red, orange, yellow burst on the facades of houses, in the surrounding landscape. The village is located in the heart of the ocher deposit : it dominates the old quarries. Early in the morning we walk the cobbled streets of the red city bathed in sunshine. We go up to the Romanesque church. It leads to a platform that offers a superb viewpoint over the surrounding plains. Far off, we see our national Mount Fuji, the Mount Ventoux that of which the clear air makes very close.
The Luberon, region of Provence is known for its rows of blue lavender in spring. We had the opportunity to visit the Luberon with the children during holiday : the region is attractive and colorful. during our family week in the Luberon, we went to discover the perched villages overcome of their castle or church. We enjoyed strolling through the cobbled streets, appreciate the old stone buildings full of ivy. We discovered the beautiful ochers of Roussillon and Rustrel rightly nicknamed the Provençal Colorado. We also had the opportunity to make some colorful walks in the natural park of Luberon.
Discover the famous perched villages.
Nothing better than to enjoy our beautiful days to go hiking with the kids ! In spring and automn, The light is beautiful, temperatures are mild and allow to walk without suffering from hot or cold. Furthermore, massives are accessible whatever the weather; the destination is the Sainte-Victoire Mountain. We have plenty of choice on our way to tackle it. For us, we need a fairly easy hike, not strenuous, on principle, we prefer the loops rather than retrace our steps
We will this time stroll in Aix-en-Provence. Objective : cultural awakening for kids ! No shopping despite all the temptations offered by the windows of many shops in the city : we will come back with friends ! To start, the morning (as the kids are fresh and starters for all !), we will visit the Granet Museum. The Granet Museum is no longer a mystery to us as it is to be the third time we go visit it. So we know the permanent collection but had not had the opportunity to discover the Planque Collection, exhibited for 15 years in the chapel of the White Penitents. Here, more than 130 works from the collection of the Planque Foundation are exposed. Children have a play-book to follow their visit. We must admit that the game booklet is also very useful for parents ! And that illustrious names we have again: Picasso, Van Gogh, Monet, Braque, Dubuffet ; For children, once again, the works of Picasso are the more funny, with their geometric shapes, which are unanimous ! They are very proud to recognize on their own the works of the painter! Note that Dubuffet had also a great success !

To enjoy those beautiful summer days, we decided to explore the wonderful landscapes on the Blue coast train. We chose to embark in Miramas, in order to begin from the landward side and arrive on the seaward side ! It was a beautiful discovery of our natural heritage ... and in the freshness ! This day adds a nice getaway with all those proposed by the Oustaou of Luberon ! Boarding at Miramas ! Already, a nice surprise because we easily find a parking near the railway station. Arrived in the train station, new surprise, we realise that many others families had the same idea ; Then we see many families with buckets, shovels, umbrellas, balloons ...Many young people are also there to make the same journey as us and customary obviously this trip. Once on the train, children are excited : a train is always magical ! We see with pleasure the little heads glued on the windows with a smile from ear to ear ! Istres, Port de Bouc, Martigues, Fos sur Mer, The Crown, Sausset les Pins, Carry the wheel, Ensues la Redonne, and Niolon, that we have chosen as the destination !
We continue our adventures : This time, we go to Marseille to discover all the news around the Old Port. New whose the impetus was given by Marseille Provence 2013. We are very curious to discover all, especially since Marseille won in 2014 the Family Plus label, proof of the motivation of the city to host families.
For this new getaway with family, we headed towards the Alpilles and more precisely to the village of "Les Baux-de-Provence" ; As small as it is, the village is one of the tourist spots of the department and really ideal for the whole family ... especially in April, a period when the village is more accessible and where spring colors value especially the rock spur !
Careers of lights : First, we will visit the "Carrières de Lumières". Site absolutely inescapable with children : the magic happens upon the entry into careers. This year the multimedia show "Klimt and Vienna a century of gold and colors" presents 100 years of Viennese paintings ; Upon the entry in the Quarries, we switch in a frame outside the norm ! For parents, this is a real enchanted parenthesis in which they allow themselves to be transported immediately. For children, whatever their age, it is absolutely magical : on the ground, they have fun in walking on the pictures slide, or make a small chasing shadows. On the walls, they look pass the images and also play in the shadow puppets .

Rognes is one of the most beautiful villages of Aix en Provence. If the truffle made her fame, the quality of the wine region is confirmed by the number of wineries, with many wines. Balanced terroir, it transports you in the heart of the vineyards to better explore the Provencal forest. The originalities are many reasons to walk : breeding of red partridges, creamy cheeses of the farm of bregalon, like the ballad inclined you to the tasting ! Do not forget to buy before you start your crusty bread just in front of the city hall ! If the sun is in part (as usual!), You will have, after opening a bottle of rose of Rognes? Another idea of life ! Possibility to follow a variant of the circuit (14 kms), with a fabulous view over the valley of the Durance, the Luberon and the Ventoux.details of winemakers trail
